Who We Are
KnowU Wellbeing was founded by Kirsty Wiseman, a lifestyle health specialist with years of experience supporting people to feel more in control of their wellbeing
With a strong background supporting people across different settings, Kirsty created KnowU to offer something more personal. A space that gives people the opportunity to pause, reflect and take simple, positive steps.
Our core service brings this support into the workplace, creating a relaxed, non-judgemental space where employees can check in with their health and wellbeing. But wherever the need is, our focus remains the same: to make health feel more human and more accessible.
Why We Do It
Many people fall through the gaps when it comes to traditional health checks. You might be too young for routine screenings, short on time, or simply looking for a space to talk about your health without pressure or judgement. We believe everyone deserves the chance to be heard, supported and informed.
At KnowU, we aim to:
✓ Make health feel approachable, not overwhelming
✓ Give people time and space to pause and reflect
✓ Encourage small steps that lead to lasting change
✓ Help employers understand and respond to the real needs of their teams
The Story Behind KnowU
KnowU was created to offer something different. A calm, supportive space where people can pause, reflect and reconnect with their health in a way that feels personal and empowering.
The name KnowU is simple but layered with meaning. It begins with KNOW, because wellbeing starts with understanding yourself. It ends with U, because this is about your unique journey. And within it, it quietly holds NOW, a reminder that the most important time to check in with your health is the present moment. It also quietly includes the initials of our founder, Kirsty Wiseman, adding a personal touch to a wider mission.
Our logo brings this philosophy to life through three natural elements:
• The sunrise, symbolising a fresh start and the energy to move forward
• The leaf, representing growth and the small steps that build over time
• The water, reflecting clarity and the calm that comes from taking a moment to pause
These elements reflect our belief that health does not have to feel clinical or overwhelming. It can feel natural, empowering and rooted in who you are, right now.
What Makes Us Different
✓ We meet people where they are in both mindset and setting
✓ Our check-ins are relaxed, non-judgemental, and shaped around each individual
✓ Everyone receives their own results to take away and reflect on
✓ We use clear, accessible language and signpost to trusted support
✓ We offer ongoing resources to keep the conversation going beyond the check-in
Meet the Founder
I’m Kirsty, the founder of KnowU Wellbeing. I’ve spent over 20 years working in health improvement and person-centred support, helping people feel more confident, informed and in control of their wellbeing.
My experience spans NHS Health Checks, weight management, stop smoking services, dementia care and workplace health. I’ve delivered support face-to-face, over the phone and online, working in clinics, community venues and offices, always with a focus on prevention, empathy and making health feel more human.
Why I started KnowU
KnowU was born from a simple belief: everyone deserves the chance to pause and reflect on their health in a space that feels safe, supportive and free from judgement. Too often, health conversations are rushed, reactive or only available once something has gone wrong.
I wanted to offer something different. KnowU provides informal, accessible check-ins that fit into real life especially for those who don’t meet the criteria for traditional services but still want to understand and prioritise their health.
A bit about my journey
My work has always been people-focused and hands-on. I started out in optical retail and customer service, where I spent 14 years supporting individuals, often at key moments in their health journey. That experience gave me a strong grounding in empathy, clear communication and building trust, all of which continue to shape how I work today.
From there, my role naturally expanded into wider areas of health and wellbeing. I supported people living with dementia, planned meaningful daily activities, and worked closely with families and carers to provide person-centred care. I’ve delivered NHS Health Checks, helped people to stop smoking, supported weight management journeys, and worked in partnership with local services to make support easier to access.
Alongside this, I’ve mentored weight management coaches and new health check practitioners, led group sessions and hosted community wellbeing events. I’ve also raised a family while working, which gives me a real-world understanding of the pressures people face and how hard it can be to prioritise your own health when life is full.
Whether I’m working one to one or supporting wider initiatives, my focus has always been on creating space for people to feel heard, understood and supported.
What matters to me
I care about prevention, not perfection. I believe in practical support, not pressure.
For me, wellbeing isn’t about quick fixes or ticking boxes. It’s about understanding what’s really going on underneath, not just covering things up with a sticking plaster, but getting to the root of what’s affecting someone’s health and confidence. When we create space for honest reflection, we give people the chance to make small, meaningful changes that can last.
Where you’ll find me
I’m based in Norfolk and deliver KnowU Check-Ins across Norfolk, Suffolk and surrounding areas from boardrooms and staff rooms to community halls and festival fields.
