Who We Are
KnowU Wellbeing was founded by Kirsty Wiseman to make looking after your health and wellbeing feel more personal, accessible and a little less overwhelming.
After years of supporting people across health, wellbeing and community settings, I wanted to create something that gave people time to pause, talk and better understand what’s going on for them.
KnowU is built around a simple idea: it’s not about what’s wrong with you, it’s about what’s going on for you.
For some people, that starts with a conversation. For others, having something measurable helps make things clearer. From blood pressure, cholesterol and HbA1c to deeper testing, we can explore what feels useful to you.
Whether that is one-to-one, in the workplace or out in the community, the approach stays the same: relaxed, supportive, practical and shaped around the person in front of me.
Why We Do It
Many people fall through the gaps when it comes to traditional health checks. You might be too young for routine screenings, short on time, or simply looking for a space to talk about your health without pressure or judgement. We believe everyone deserves the chance to be heard, supported and informed.
At KnowU, we aim to:
✓ Make health feel approachable, not overwhelming
✓ Give people time and space to pause and reflect
✓ Encourage small steps that lead to lasting change
✓ Help employers understand and respond to the real needs of their teams
The Story Behind KnowU
KnowU was created to offer something different. A calm, supportive space where people can pause, reflect and reconnect with their health in a way that feels personal and empowering.
The name KnowU is simple but layered with meaning. It begins with KNOW, because wellbeing starts with understanding yourself. It ends with U, because this is about you and your individual journey. And within it sits NOW, a reminder that there is no better time to check in with yourself than the present.
Our logo brings that philosophy to life through three natural elements:
• The sunrise, representing a fresh start and the energy to move forward
• The leaf, representing growth and the small steps that build over time
• The water, representing clarity, calm and taking a moment to pause
Together they reflect what KnowU is about. Health and wellbeing do not have to feel clinical or overwhelming. They can feel personal, practical and rooted in where you are right now.
What Makes Us Different

Meet the Founder
I’m Kirsty, founder of KnowU Wellbeing. I’ve spent over 20 years working in health improvement and person-centred support, helping people feel more confident, informed and in control of their wellbeing.
My experience spans NHS Health Checks, weight management, stop smoking services, dementia care, workplace health and community wellbeing. I’ve supported people face-to-face, over the phone and online, always with a focus on empathy, prevention and making health feel more human.
Why I started KnowU
KnowU grew from a simple belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to pause and understand what’s going on for them, without judgement, pressure or overwhelm.
Too often, health conversations are rushed, reactive or only happen once something has gone wrong. I wanted to create something different. A space where you can talk, reflect, understand your own health and decide what feels useful for you.
For some people that starts with a conversation. For others, having something measurable helps make things clearer. There is no one-size-fits-all approach because there is no one-size-fits-all person.
A bit about my journey
My work has always been about people. I started in optical retail and customer service before moving into wider health and wellbeing roles, supporting people living with dementia, delivering NHS Health Checks, helping people to stop smoking and supporting weight management.
I’ve also mentored health and wellbeing coaches and new health check practitioners, led group sessions, delivered community wellbeing events and worked alongside local services to make support easier to access.
Alongside all of that, I’ve raised a family, worked and navigated the same challenge many of us face of trying to look after ourselves when life is already full. That real-life understanding is just as important to how I work as my professional experience.
What matters to me
I care about prevention, not perfection. Practical support, not pressure.
For me, wellbeing isn’t about quick fixes or ticking boxes. It’s about understanding what’s going on for you, having good information and feeling able to make choices that work in your real life.
Sometimes that means making a change. Sometimes it means exploring something further. And sometimes simply having the time to stop, talk and understand your own normal is valuable in itself.
Where you’ll find me
I’m based in Norfolk, but KnowU isn’t limited to one setting or area. You might find me delivering one-to-one check-ins, supporting a workplace wellbeing day, at a community event or collaborating with other organisations to make health and wellbeing support more accessible.
